Restaurant 2.0 - POS Stuck on Loading Screen After Product Key Validation
Restaurant 2.0 - POS Stuck on Loading Screen After Product Key Validation
Summary
This article explains what to do when the Point of Sale
(POS) system becomes stuck on the loading screen after the Product Key
Validation step. This issue typically occurs due to network connectivity
problems or router-related issues that prevent the POS from communicating with
the activation server.
Symptoms
POS
screen displays “Loading...” indefinitely after entering or
validating the Product Key.
Application
does not proceed to the login or dashboard screen.
Restarting
the POS software alone does not resolve the issue.
Possible Causes
Unstable
or disconnected network connection.
Wi-Fi
interference or weak signal.
Router
issue or temporary loss of internet connectivity.
Network
not allowing outbound connection to activation servers (in rare cases).
Resolution Steps
Step 1: Verify Internet Connection
Check
if the POS terminal has an active internet connection.
If
using Wi-Fi, disable Wi-Fi to avoid potential signal drops or
instability.
Connect
the POS to the internet using a wired Ethernet cable for a more
reliable connection.
Open
a web browser (if available on the device) and visit any website to
confirm internet access.
Step 2: Restart the Network Equipment
Locate
your router and/or modem.
Power
them off for 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
Wait
until all router lights indicate a stable connection (usually takes 1–2
minutes).
Once
the internet is restored, restart the POS application and try logging in
again.
Step 3: Retest the POS Application
Relaunch
the POS software.
Enter
the Product Key again if prompted.
Confirm
if the POS successfully proceeds past the loading screen.
